Innovative Features for Timeless Appeal: Dallas Dream Pool Essentials

Features can transform the way you experience your Dallas dream pool. In the following sections, we’ll explain some features available to enhance your swimming pool.

Smart Features

Smart features aren’t limited to phones and TVs; swimming pools can also benefit from them. Pools can take a lot of work to clean and maintain. With smart features, you can make things a little easier on yourself and potentially be more efficient. It is important to note that even with the advancements in smart features, pools still require inspection and maintenance.

The following is a list of some smart features available for your Dallas dream pool.

Smart Pool Pumps

Pool pumps are a vital part of your swimming pool. They help keep pools clean and help the whole pool maintain a constant temperature. A smart pool pump can offer significant energy savings, which allows pool owners to use their pumps more without spending as much money.

Smart Salt Chlorinators

The chlorine level is another crucial element of your pool. Chlorine helps keep your pool safe by killing bacteria. When it isn’t properly balanced, it cannot do its job efficiently and can cause skin and eye irritation.

A smart salt chlorinator makes pool maintenance easier by automatically monitoring chlorine levels and making adjustments accordingly.

Smart Pool Self-Cleaning Technology

Pool owners know how time-consuming pool cleaning can be. With the help of smart pool self-cleaning technology, you can lighten up your cleaning workload. Self-cleaning pool technology is integrated into your swimming pool to help keep it clean.

As it is smart technology, you can control your smart pool self-cleaning technology with your smart device.

Smart Heating

Smart heating allows you to enjoy the comfort and convenience of warming up your pool using a smartphone. You won’t have to walk to a pool heater’s control panel to have the pool at your preferred temperature before entering it.

Water Features

Water features can give your pool an extra bit of luxury and functionality. The following are some common water features that can be added to your swimming pool.

Rock Waterfalls

Rock waterfalls add a natural look to your pool area.

Cascades or Sheer Descent Waterfalls

Cascades, also known as sheer descent waterfalls, are horizontal sheets of water that add an elegant feel to your swimming pool.

Water Slides

If the pool is deep enough, a water slide is a great way to add some fun and excitement to your swimming pool. We can make water slides that blend in with the aesthetics of your pool.

Fountains

From simple to complex, several types of fountains are available for your pool that can give it a touch of elegance.

Rain Curtains

Often positioned on a pergola roof or raised wall, a rain curtain is made to look like a water wall. Rain curtains are a luxurious and relaxing addition to swimming pools.

Sconces

Sconces are mounted on a swimming pool’s raised walls and produce a small stream of water.

Bubblers

A bubbler creates a little geyser. They can be placed on the shallow end of a pool or sun shelf.

Deck Jets or Laminar Deck Jets

Deck jets, also known as laminar deck jets, create jets of water that help give pools a classy and relaxing feel while aiding pool circulation.

Pool Spitters

A pool spitter is a statue that produces a stream of water. Pool spitters come in many designs.

Scuppers

Pool scuppers allow a stream of water to fall into the pool—creating a relaxing sound. They are available in various designs and materials.

Spas

A spa alongside your pool can provide a relaxing poolside getaway. Here are several ways to add a spa addition to your Dallas dream pool.

Integrated Spa

An integrated spa is located in the swimming pool and looks like part of the pool’s shape. The integrated spa may be placed in a corner, wall, or end of a pool and is separated from the pool by a dam wall.

Attached Spa

An attached spa is adjacent to or outside of a pool. An attached spa and pool, unlike an integrated spa and pool, are distinct entities.

Attached spas can be inground or above ground, depending on your preference. Above-ground attached spas are known as attached raised spas.

Raised-Perimeter Overflow Spa

A raised-perimeter overflow spa’s walls are lower than its water level, creating the appearance of water flowing over the spa’s edge into the swimming pool. While water does flow over the edge of a raised-perimeter overflow spa, a containment vessel collects it and sends it back into the spa.

A pool builder can make the raised-perimeter overflow spa attached or integrated with the pool.

Spillover or Spillway Spa

If a raised spa is attached to a pool, it can be a spillover, or spillway, spa. This is done by having one or more parts of the spa wall designed as a spillway to allow water from the spa to flow into the swimming pool.

Generally, the water spilling over resembles a thin sheet of water. Spillover spas may also have a wide cascade or a handful of separate thin spillways. Another type of spillover design features slots similar to funnels that direct streams of water into the swimming pool.

Detached Spa

A detached spa is located away from the pool. This may be done when space around a pool is limited.

Design Consultation and Starting Your Dallas Dream Pool Project

The Summerhill Pools pool design process consists of multiple stages. The following is an overview of them.

Onsite Consultation

Before we begin, we request that a land surveyor conduct a certified property survey. We’ll visit you at your home to discuss your vision for your dream pool and how you intend to use it. We’ll use what we learn from this meeting to design your Dallas dream pool.

Design

Once we understand your wishes for your Dallas dream pool, our landscape architect can begin designing with Pool Studio software. Pool Studio allows you to see a virtual 3D image of your pool before we start construction.

Please be advised that there will be a $300 non-refundable design fee. If you continue with us, we’ll credit the $300 to your project deposit.

The Estimate

Once our landscape architect has created a swimming pool design, we’ll create a detailed estimate for the project. We do our best to make an estimate that accurately reflects the project costs, including a detailed breakdown of materials, costs, labor, and related elements.

We believe in providing you with a thorough understanding of the costs of your pool project so there are no surprises.

Visiting the Showroom

After the estimate is complete, you’ll come to our Dallas showroom. Here, you can experience a detailed 3D rendering of your swimming pool. This technology lets you see how your pool will look in your landscape. Our team will guide you on a virtual “walkthrough,” so you’ll be better informed when making decisions.

Material Selections and Final Revisions

In this phase, you’ll work alongside your design consultant to select your pool’s materials. These impact not only the look but also the function of your pool. Once you’ve selected pool materials, our team begins the construction design and permitting phase.
